Working with Children and Teens. I have had many years of experience as a psychologist, and as part of my training around 20 years ago, worked with students with learning and mental health issues in schools. Previously, Chelsea worked at School Health Services, counselling students dealing with emotional difficulties and relationship issues with their families or friends. She has also had stints in the Child Guidance Clinic (IMH), the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and intervention centres for children with autism.
Working with Adults and Lecturing. With regards to working with adults, I have counselled a number of adults with anxiety, depression, and who are otherwise having difficulties coping with particular areas of their lives. Chelsea has also taught psychologists at the Masters level and trained teachers while a full-time lecturer at NIE previously. She has also supervised many budding psychologists.
Orientation. I have helped many children, teenagers, and adults improve their psychological outcomes and overall functioning. As a psychologist, she is astute, results-oriented, and committed to the people she helps. Chelsea utilises a variety of approaches to work with her clients across the age range, including cognitive-behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy, schema therapy, behaviour therapy, and reality therapy. She is adapt at harnessing techniques from various approaches as needed.
